Full page in the annual directory with up to four photos (available for both Members and Associate Members).

In addition to the member-specific benefits above, the NSBA’s work supports the industry as a whole through:

Developing / coordinating / delivering industry-relevant training

Helping eligible, qualified tradespeople get certified as Boat Builders and Marine Service Technicians.

Coordinating the Boat Builder and Marine Service Technician apprenticeship programs in partnership with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.

Encouraging youth and other job seekers to pursue careers in the industry.

Representing the industry at all government levels.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Companies based in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Prince Edward Island that build, repair, refit, restore or service boats are eligible to join the NSBA as Members.

Companies that offer materials, equipment and/or services to boatbuilding companies in North America are eligible to join the NSBA as Associate Members.

All members agree to abide by the Code of Ethics.

  • Can companies join at any time?
    Our membership year runs April 1 to March 31. Eligible companies can join any time. Companies who join by May 15 will be included in our annual printed directory.
  • Are membership costs pro-rated based on when companies join during the year?
    No, membership costs are not pro-rated.
  • What methods of payment do you accept?
    We accept cheques, Visa, Mastercard, and e-transfers.
