Sober Island is steeped in history and Levy Boats is part of that history. The Levy’s have been designing, building, finishing, customizing, and refitting boats for commercial and pleasure markets for over three generations. Randy Levy started building wooden boats with his father, Roy Levy, more than 50 years ago, and is continuing the tradition of building quality boats with his son Luke. After living in Halifax for a few years, Luke decided he wanted to move back to the area and follow in his father’s footsteps.

Small business is key to the Nova Scotia economy. They are proud of their work and love what they do. With a new design in the works for a Levy Skiff, and ongoing work in their shop, there is lots to do!
