People who are already certified journeypersons in their trade can advance their business and leadership skills with the Atlantic Trades Business Seal.

Apprenticeship and Trade Certification

There two provincially-designated trades specific to Nova Scotia’s boatbuilding industry: Boat Builder and Marine Service Technician. These are both on-the-job training programs, jointly administered by the NSBA and the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.

Short Workshops & Information Sessions

NSBA offers short workshops and learning opportunities at various times through the year. These are generally advertised through our website, our monthly eNews to members, email notices and other methods like social media. We also share information about learning opportunities through partner organizations.

Custom Courses

When a need is identified (and our funding allows), the NSBA coordinates and delivers targeted training courses. Like our short workshops and information sessions, we advertise these through our website, email distribution list, social media, and partner organizations as well as paid advertising. Watch this page and our Events page for opportunities or follow us on social media.
