Sydney – Lunchtime info session on Fishing Vessel Stability Assessment
July 24 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
If you design or build commercial fishing boats, this is for you!
Transport Canada’s Fishing Vessel Safety Regs require all new small fishing vessels over 9m in length, and built after 13th July 2018, to have a Stability Assessment.
Depending on the design and arrangement of the boat and its intended operation, new boats may require a Full Stability Assessment – or a Simplified Stability Assessment. Existing fishing boats are affected too if they undergo modifications.
Come to one of the following info sessions arranged by NSBA to learn what “Stability Assessment” means for both new and existing fishing boats.
Date and location of the lunchtime info session:
When: Tuesday 24th July, noon to 2pm
Where: Transport Canada Marine Safety offices, 196 George Street,
Federal Arts Building, 2nd Floor, Sydney
Presenter: Rob Freake, Marine Safety Inspector, Transport Canada, Dartmouth
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Please let Tim know in advance if you plan to attend any of these important information sessions.
Free for NSBA Members
$30 for non-members
