In business since 1944, Snyder’s Shipyard are capable of building and restoring vessels from 22′ – 110′ in wood and fibreglass. One of their many projects include the construction of the 86′ longliner Abigail Grace, the largest fibreglass boat of its kind built in Atlantic Canada. The shipyard’s diverse production includes the full size version of Theodore Tugboat, of children’s television fame.

The yard recently renovated one of their boat shops to become a modern, comfortable year round facility complete with in-floor heating. They are also the authorized builders of the Bluenose Class Sloops. Snyder’s shipyard now have a fully operational 200 ton marine slipway to haul vessels up to 70′.

Snyder’s Shipyard is a part of the Lunenburg Shipyard Alliance established in 2010. They also recently formed a partnership with Maple Marine to build the Scotia 44 – a 44′ sailboat with a cutter rig.
