In 1960, talented boatbuilders Roland DesChamp and William Jackson left a boatbuilding firm where they were employed in order to set up their own yard.
They knew they were on the right track when they had their first order before the framework of their new boatshop was completed.
Since then they have built fishing boats, sailboats, launches and cabin cruisers.
In the 1980′s, a second generation of building talent came on stream when Roland DesChamp Jr. joined the company.
DesChamp & Jackson Boatbuilders recently launched their latest design: the DJ20, which is a trailerable outboard cruiser with a seaworthy planing hull and practical cuddy cabin. A great boat for weekend cruising.
